Absolutely support the 64-bit version. Windows machines are moving towards 64-bit and Mac with the latest iOS release requires it. I enjoy using this software, I purchased the pro version, but it will not work with my current system. The quicker the better!

Heya everyone, I've just added my thoughts about their lack of support to their facebook page under a review - despite what seems to be a 2-year warning that this would happen where 32-bit programs would no longer be supported.

Lets hope we might be able to save some people from spending money on this useless software if they won't upgrade it.

HandBrake is free and 64bit compliant. Just forget DivX Scam Pro

Now with OS Catalina, Pro Tools 2020, and various other updates, there is a loss for supporting 32 bit apps. My current setup is actually completely useless... that's even after $2,500 in software upgrades I just did with my audio/video software. I still have issues supporting Video in Pro Tools... I blame both AVID and APPLE for not being thoughtful of their end users. Please help us out with getting the 64 bit application for DivX out. Thank you in advance.

Using MacOs Catalina since yesterday and...of course NO MORE DIVX Pro available !!

You've been too long to develop a 64 bits version ( since you've been hacked by Rovi, Roxio same, bad choice) and now: we're all blocked and DIVX is no longer useful.  WHAT A PITY.

I'm ,as others, very angry at you and certainly ( for example  on an old version of Windows...) won't use any more your software.

When will the 64 Bit version be released or some form of a timeline when will it be?

Over 2 years for development is not an acceptable time frame I'm afraid. Like with all others we paid for use. Since 32 bit apps where unsupported I was using DiVX on a Windows PC and now that PC has died and I am not willing to purchase another machine for 1 bit of software.

Please see our frustrations here when we are loyal customers of using software and we are not supported. You should be not be selling software if you are unable to keep it up to date in an acceptable time frame. It's not as if there was not plenty of notice before 32 bits applications where not being supported in the next version Mac OS

I am hoping that a 64 bit version for Mac will be made available sooner rather than later. I have been waiting over a year for the 64 bit version

When will a 64bit version be available?

Soon the Mac OS will be moving on from Catalina to Big Sur, yet still no 64bit Divx which you have had over a year to develop.

    Disgraceful.

macOS Big Sur is out. If you already had issues with Catalina, Big Sur is even more restrictive. I see that DivX is still 'stuck' at version 10 — the 32-bit version which has not been changed in well over 3 years (well, the current file is from last February, but it's plain old 10 without any changes). You could have developed a radically new codec in those three years — but you still haven't supported the 64-bit version. I wonder if you still have any paying customers. At least on the Mac side of things, I can very well imagine that there are none left...

Here is the current error shown by Big Sur (basically the same thing as under Catalina) when one tries to install the DMG:

Yes, I haven't kept up lately with video stuff as I did in the past.. but this kind of blows my mind that DivX hasn't yet went to the drawing board and created a true 64bit version of their DivX converter for Windows PCs as of 04-19-2021..  Come-ON!  I am sitting here with  AMD Ryzen 12 cores and you mean I can't do faster conversions because the company have not yet thought it is important to give us more processing power and speed..  I have supported DivX for over 5 or more yrs now..  Please get us up to speed on the processing and end.

Well, the good news is that after 2½ years or so, and two macOS versions later, it seems that DivX 64bit is finally out, and, aye, it works perfectly. So... thanks, guys. It's just a pity it took so long.

One wonders if DivX already works on the new Apple Silicon CPUs...
