If your device is DivX Certified then it has undergone testing and certification for playback of DivX encoded videos. Depending on the level of certification your device will be able to playback different resolutions of DivX files right out of the box. It also means that if you have purchased DivX VOD content then you could play that content on your device if you choose to register it.

Please keep in mind that registration is only needed if you have plans to playback DivX VOD content that you have purchased.
