The DivX VOD Registration code on DivX Certified devices is used to register your DivX device so that it can play back DivX videos purchased online - DRM videos that are encrypted.
If your device is DivX Certified and you want to play DivX videos that you've created on your computer, you do not need to use the VOD code and register the device. If you've purchased DivX movies online, the VOD code can be used to complete a one-time registration of the device.
