Installed and reinstalled several times but dix software appears in start menu but I am unable to start the software from here and the items are greyed out.

  Hi Dave,

  Can you take a screenshot and post here so I can see what is happening? Is this with the free version of the DivX Software?

  That worked until I restarted my computer then it was back to the same old problem.

  Uninstalled then deleted the folder

  C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\DivX

  then reinstalled now the Start Menu works but if I search for the programmes in Cortana they appear have now thumbnails, would be nice to have the thumbnails but at least I can now open the programmes from the Start Menu and Cortana Search now.
