Installed divx player. It will not play any type of video.

I installed divx player and it will not play any type of video. I then tried to uninstall Divx. everything uninstalled except Divx Setup in Programs and features. I would like to have it totally uninstalled so I can install a clean copy. To see if it will work in my computer. Need Help.
