The DivX Mobile App will no longer be available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store as of April 13, 2018. You can continue to use the app without interruption, as long as it has already been installed on your device. We will continue to offer support for DivX Mobile App until December 31, 2018. Here’s what you need to know:
Why is DivX ending support for the DivX Mobile App?
DivX remains focused on helping people around the world enjoy digital media across all their favorite devices. We don’t believe that the DivX Mobile App was the best way to accomplish this goal. There were significant costs associated with the app, and frankly, it wasn't as popular as we'd hoped. We know this will be frustrating for some users — we wish we could continue to work on and improve the DivX Mobile App — but we made a decision to refocus our business on new, better products. We apologize for any issues this causes for users.
When does support for the DivX Mobile App end?
On December 31, 2018, DivX will end active support for the DivX Mobile app. Active support includes providing new fixes, patches or development by DivX for issues and/or bugs within the DivX Mobile app.
After the support period, what type of information will be available?
Limited information concerning the DivX Mobile App will continue to be available for the DivX Mobile app in the form of an information page and existing knowledge base. This information page will include existing support materials such as fixes/patches/workarounds that DivX has available prior to December 31, 2018. This does not include new fixes, patches, and development of any new modifications to your DivX Mobile App. You will not be able to contact the DivX support team with DivX Mobile app questions after December 31, 2018. Existing support documents and FAQs will continue to be available through the DivX Support Portal on divx.com. We will continue to host previous how-to, troubleshooting, and workaround documentation for anyone who may need self-service.
Can I still use the App?
If you have the DivX Mobile App installed on your device, it will continue to work. However, there will be no new updates or fixes moving forward.
Are any other products affected?
No other products are affected by this decision. DivX Consumer Desktop Software will continue to be available on divx.com, providing tools to play, convert and cast video.
