How do I get rid of the "there is a new version of DIVX available!!!" popup?

I've turned off check for updates in my DivX 10. I did try 11 at one point but uninstalled it.

  Hi Mark,

  Please open Windows Control Panel, type in DivX and then launch the DivX Control Panel, can you check under the Updates section for the setting the Check for updates interval and set to Never (or any other setting you would like), this should stop the Update Notification from showing up on your system.

  Hi Marcio, I already did that.

  What I figured out was that there must have been a corrupt file that stopped the DIVX 11 from uninstalling properly. I downloaded the software and installed it and immediately uninstalled it. That fixed the problem. There is now no trace of it and no alerts.
